Through dramatic lighting and meticulously composed high‑resolution photography, each artifact is examined by photographer and lead creative Thomas Walk, revealing the human ingenuity embedded within components often perceived as purely mechanical. The book highlights the Raceborn textures, patina, and inventive engineering that define Porsche’s approach to performance.
Across 550 pages and more than 250 individual items, Artifacts: Porsche Motorsport charts the evolution of racing from its earliest chapters to the present day. The volume is housed in a 7.7kg presentation case designed in collaboration with Andy Cruz of House Industries, who created two bespoke typefaces inspired by elements found within the collection. Its embossed red vinyl cover echoes the archival ledgers once used to catalogue Porsche racing parts in the 1960s.
